Gourmet Food, that’s what Huxtable’s set out to create in 1981, when we first began preparing signature dishes and sauces for local specialty markets. Truth is, our delicious, award winning products are still made in small batches with the finest ingredients available.

Today, Huxtable’s is one of the nation’s premier manufacturers in the home meal replacement category, creating fresh entrees, side dishes, appetizers, soups and holiday meals, for many of the premier specialty, grocery, club stores and restaurants nationwide. With over 200 restaurant quality SKUs we offer traditional American menu items, ethnic food options such as Italian, Mexican and Asian favorites.

As a result of close ties with our sister company, Pasta Kitchen, we are able to produce product on both coasts to ensure maximum quality and freshness. Our geographic reach extends from coast to coast, across all of North America, allowing us to service National and International programs.

Our Facility

From a single kitchen range, we’ve grown to a technologically advanced 108,000 square foot plant located in Vernon, California. We became USDA Organic Certified in 2003, making Huxtable’s one of the first facilities in the western US to produce 100% USDA organic fresh entrees. We are continuously upgrading our facility and operations to improve product quality and food safety. Our modern facilities are designed to keep the small batch preparation and hand-filling, that help us to retain the home cooked appeal and gourmet quality that has been the hallmark of Huxtable’s products.

Our obsession with quality, sanitation and safety enables us to offer industry leading shelf life and quality. While most of our products are sold fresh, our plant does have frozen packaging capabilities thereby providing additional flexibility to our customers.

Throughout our facility we employ strict production and handling procedures to ensure food safety, and are audited regularly to verify that those procedures are being followed. Huxtable’s is a certified USDA organic and HACCP recognized facility. We are regularly inspected by the USDA, FDA and local and state health authorities.
